treatment team
At Yazen, we believe that expert support makes all the difference. With guidance from our doctors, dietitians, and YazenCoaches, you get a structured approach to long-term weight care. You don’t have to do it alone – we’re with you every step of the way.
Doctor
Located just behind your YazenCoach, the doctors ensure that your prescription is as effective as possible. All doctors at Yazen are experts in the treatment of patients struggling with their weight.
Your doctor assists you with questions about medication treatment, renews prescriptions, wants to know how you experience the effects of the medication, and assesses weight loss and any side effects. In case of side effects that do not improve with adjustments to the diet, such as heartburn, constipation or nausea, medication may be prescribed. You can also receive assistance with certificates, such as Activity on Prescription (AoP) or travel certificates.
YazenCoach
Your YazenCoach can refer you to specialists when needed. Our YazenCoaches can guide you to experts in nutrition, mental health, or fitness:
A dietitian,
Psychologist,
Or personal trainer.

Frequently asked questions
Below we list the most frequently asked questions about our service. If you have other questions or concerns, please contact us and we will help you.
How effective is medical weight loss with Yazen?
This is individual. You set a target weight. Your coach and doctor are here to support you and ensure that weight loss and treatment follow-up are carried out in a safe and patient-focused way.
What risks and side effects can be experienced from the medication?
Side effects are usually few, mild, and temporary. The most common side effects affect the gastrointestinal tract, such as nausea, gas, abdominal discomfort, bloating, constipation, and diarrhoea.
Side effects can often be avoided by starting treatment at a low dose and by adjusting meal content and portion size. Always inform your doctor or coach if you experience side effects so that you can receive advice and support.
What is included in medical weight loss at Yazen?
The service includes regular blood tests, medical assessment, initiation of medical treatment and any injections, as well as individually tailored programs for mental health, exercise, and diet. The cost of medication is not included in the subscription price. You get access to a medical team (doctor, coach, dietitian, psychologist if needed), digital tools through our app, and a structured approach to lifestyle change and medical treatment. You receive personal follow-up and support throughout your entire journey.
Which medications does Yazen use for weight loss?
Your doctor most often prescribes modern appetite-regulating medications, known as GLP-1/GIP analogues.
The doctor always makes an individual assessment. There are several approved medications that may be appropriate.
What is Yazen?
Yazen is a digital healthcare service that helps people living with overweight or obesity achieve more sustainable health. You get access to a medical team, individually tailored guidance, support for lifestyle changes, and medical treatment when needed. The goal is to provide safe, evidence-based, and long-term support without guilt or shame.
What happens when I have reached a healthy target weight?
When you have reached a healthy target weight, you begin determining a maintenance dose. This is the dose of medication you need to remain weight stable, i.e. to stay in energy balance. The maintenance dose is your medical support to prevent weight regain. Research shows that individuals who stop taking medication tend to regain weight. At present, we do not know how long each individual will need to continue medication – for many, it may potentially be lifelong.
Keeping track of your health has never been easier
